ITINERARY

Day 1: Tan Son Nhat airport picking up/ Hotel check in/ City Tour/Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

Arrive at Tan Son Nhat airport, Tour Guide  and my driver will pick up and transfer you to Ho chi Minh’s city center- still called Sagion by many locals. The city is crowded with motorbikes and cars, excited by numerous shopping area and sidewalk cafés.

Also known as the Independence Palace, the Reunification Palace is the symbolic site of the end of the Vietnam War during the Fall of Saigon on April 30, 1975, when the North Vietnamese Army tank number 843 crashed through the gates of what was at the time the residence of the President of the Republic of Vietnam.

Housed in a former United States administration building and formerly known as the Museum of American War Crimes, the War Remnants Museum is the most popular museum of Ho Chi Minh City. It gathers a collection of the machinery, weapons, photos, and documentation of Vietnam’s wars.

Located next to each other and right in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City, Notre Dame Cathedral and the Old Post Office are two of the best highlights of old Saigon architecture.

When the tour finish, you will be transferred back to your hotel. Have free time to see Ho Chi Minh’s city in evening.

Overnight at hotel in Ho Chi Minh City.

What to Expect

8:00AM Tour guide and driver pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to Cu Chi - an extremely complex tunnel system, the Cu Chi network covers a wide area of countryside near to Ho Chi Minh city and was an excellent way for the Viet Kong to move undetected by American forces underground. This evocative day tour explores the struggle of everyday life during the Vietnam War from a local perspective and takes you deep underground to explore the tunnels.
The Cu Chi tour starts with an introductory video detailing its long 25-year construction. Then it is time to go underground in the infamous 120-mile Cu Chi tunnel system which offered a safe haven for soldiers and thousands of Vietnamese people during the Vietnam War. It is virtually an underground city with dwelling houses, schools, hospitals and factories.
On display are booby traps, the remains of a US army tank and huge craters left by American B52 bombs. You will be able to admire lots of compelling photos and personal effects left behind.

There is also the chance to play real war games firing an authentic AK rifle used during the war.

12:00AM: Enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant before heading back by car to City.

Enjoy the Vietnamese local coffee in a very special coffee building place in center of Ho Chi Minh City.

4:30PM Tour guide and driver will pick you up and transfer you go to to see Water Puppet Show. Water puppetry (VietnameseMúa rối nước, lit. "Making puppets dance on water") is a tradition that dates back as far as the 11th century when it originated in the villages of the Red River Delta area of northern Vietnam. Today's Vietnamese water puppetry is a unique variation on the ancient Asian puppet tradition.

The puppets are made out of wood and then lacquered. The shows are performed in a waist-deep pool. A large bamboo rod supports the puppet under the water and is used by the puppeteers, who are normally hidden behind a screen, to control them. Thus the puppets appear to be moving over the water. When the rice fields would flood, the villagers would entertain each other using this form of puppet play.

6:00PM tour guide and driver take you go to dinner cruise ship on Saigon River and enjoy your dinner on board. During the dinner time, you will enjoy Southern Vietnamese Fork Music and sightseeing of Ho Chi Minh City at night. After your dinner cruise, we will take you back to your hotel.
